Rowan University’s STEAM Academy features instruction and presentations by top faculty whose diverse curriculum better prepares students for college and career paths in one of the fastest growing segments of today’s economy. What makes Rowan University’s STEAM Academy unique is the pairing of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with art, design, culture and humanities to provide an even more well-rounded experience. .
Open to students entering grades 10 through 12, the STEAM Academy combines academic excellence and engaging extracurricular activities with supportive guidance and supervision. The STEAM Academy offers high achieving students the opportunity to experience college life while preparing them for their futures. Students will gain valuable insight and practical tools that will better equip them to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.
What to Expect
During the STEAM Academy’s three-week residential program, students stay in supervised, on-campus housing and dine in Rowan’s cafeteria and at local restaurants. They utilize the Recreation Center, engage in team-building activities, and take STEAM-focused field trips. In addition, students actively plan for their futures through immersive leadership training, career counseling, creation of personal resumes, and PSAT/SAT test-preparation. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn three transferrable, college-level Rowan University credits.
