Unplug and connect! At YMCA Camps Ockanickon, Matollionequay and Lake Stockwell, your child will unplug from the everyday world of texting and video games and connect with new friends and the nature around them. Your child will learn to swim, catch a frog, ride a zipline, paddle a canoe, build a campfire, and make a friend…and that’s just the first day!

Our 800-acre facility is a hidden gem located in the Pine Barrens of Medford, NJ and is the ideal location for our 3 camps, Ockanickon for boys, Matollionequay for girls, and Lake Stockwell Day Camp. Pristine lakes provide the perfect venue for swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. Acres of beautiful pine forest offer the picture-perfect setting for outdoor living skills and earth education. Our state-of-the art ropes course is ideal for team building and confidence boosting. Archery, riflery, land sports, and creative arts round out the list of dynamic activities your child can experience throughout the summer.

Camp Ockanickon is a traditional overnight camp that provides a supportive environment for a young man’s journey toward independence. Living in a rustic cabin with boys his own age helps each camper learn how to cooperate and build new friendships. Counselors, trained to be mentors, help teach new skills that build confidence and self-esteem. Camp Matollionequay is a traditional overnight camp for girls. Campers are given the opportunity to explore their personal limits, build their self-esteem and discover independence in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. At Lake Stockwell Day Camp your camper will grow, develop and make friends while exploring new and exciting activities. Leadership opportunities and off-premises travel adventures are also available for older campers—Something for everyone!

Our camps provide a safe place for campers to unplug their electronics and connect with people and nature and, in the process, strengthen their characters. As a YMCA, we include the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in every aspect of our programming. Our experienced counselors and programming promote friendships, positive self-esteem, and healthy development and encourage individuality and independence. Our variety of positive camp experiences will impact your child for a lifetime.

We can’t wait to see you at the YMCA Camps of Medford!
