For 2019, NJ Camp Fairs has an exciting lineup of summer camp fairs. There will be 6 camp fairs held in Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Morris, and Union counties. We have a great mix of locations in the malls, family attractions, community centers and the traditional hotel setting all within fabulous towns that reach many important surrounding towns. There are 4 weekends to choose from, and hopefully for those camps coming from greater distances, you can attend multiple fairs to make each weekend a productive one.
Saturday, January 19, 2019 will be our first camp fair of the season at Quaker Bridge Mall, RT 1 North, Lawrenceville in Mercer County. This mall is located near the communities of Princeton, Lawrenceville, East and West Windsor, Hamilton, etc. This mall has a wide variety of stores including Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, Apple, Cheesecake Factory and over 100 specialty stores. We’ve had many years of successful fairs here. As in the past, we are holding the fair in the same location, right outside the Macy’s wing on the main level.
Sunday, January 20, 2019 will be our second camp fair held at Parsippany PALS (Parsippany Athletic League) in Morris County located at 33 Baldwin Road in Parsippany. This reaches all of Morris County! Parsippany is the most central location to all of Morris, and will draw from all major surrounding towns such as Morristown, Morris Plains, Randolph, Denville, Montville, Mountain Lakes, and Boonton. It’s a great space that has hosted many other major events, and with the number of kids sports events held here, families come from all over. We have hosted other big family events here as we had one just last month, with an amazing turnout. Parsippany PAL will also help promote to all their Parsippany families as well as to the community at large. We are excited about this great partnership.
Saturday, January 26, 2019 will be our third camp fair held at the Livingston Mall in Livingston, NJ in Essex County. This mall is a fabulous location from which to gain access to potential camp families in Short Hills, Millburn, West Orange, Morristown, Madison, Chatham, Florham Park, and of course Livingston. We’ve had several years of successful camp fairs here, and we have a great partnership with the Mall. As in the past, we will hold the camp fair on the second floor, right next to the food court.
Sunday, January 27, 2019 will be our fourth camp fair held at Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, NJ in Essex County. The address is 3 South Mountain Avenue, Montclair, NJ. This is a new location for the fairs, serving the immediate Montclair area, as well as surrounding towns. Montclair is a great destination town with great shopping and restaurants. The “new” downtown Montclair area is attracting thousands of new families moving in from NYC (with its 4 train stations). The Art museum is perhaps the largest destination spot in Montclair for us to host a camp fair. We have a nice partnership with the museum who will help enhance the day with free museum entry and family galleries right after families are done with the fair. There’s plenty of parking. We are excited to be trying out this new location. Limited spots remain.
Saturday, February 2, 2019 will be our fifth camp fair held at The Village of Ridgewood in Bergen County located at 131 North Maple Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ. Ridgewood is a great town that sends kids to camp, but it is also central to most of Bergen and a destination town with great shopping and restaurants. The location is right next to the library and inside the community center building, and minutes away from the main streets of Ridgewood. It’s a spot with lots of family traffic, and this spot attracts not just Ridgewood, but many surrounding towns of Bergen. We’re excited to be hosting a fair in Ridgewood.
Sunday, February 10, 2019 will be our seventh camp fair held at The Grand Summit Hotel located at 570 Springfield Avenue in Summit, NJ. This is the 10th year in a row at this hotel and the turnout of interested families has been great. Summit is located near Springfield, Short Hills, Millburn, Berkeley Heights, and Westfield to name a few communities. We’re excited to be continuing this tradition.
TIMES and details: All camp fairs will be held from Noon to 3PM and are free to the public. You will be provided with a six-foot covered and skirted table (at most locations), two chairs, and an electrical facility if specified. At some locations, you must provide your own cloth table covering that reaches the floor on all sides. Set-up time will begin at 10am. As in the past, your staff members will be limited to 3 as space could be an issue. Breakfast/lunch details will be worked out as the time gets closer. We will send out specific setup time and rules as they apply to each location. One of the great things we do: Within two weeks after each fair you will receive a spreadsheet with the contact information of all families who attended the fairs in which you participated.
REGISTRATION: All registrations must be done online. Click here to register. You will then be contacted by one of our NJ KIDS representatives if you opt to add on the web package and/or camp guide ad. You will also need to provide a 75-word listing which we will include in the camp guide booklet. Payment must be in by December 15, 2018. Please note the tiered pricing, so sign up earlier to take advantage of early pricing program. There is a sliding scale for 3 or more fairs. The assignment of preferred floor space will be done by the order in which reservation forms and payments are received. Please don’t wait! Lastly, please be advised that no refunds will be issued for any reason after December 1, 2018. All fairs will be held regardless of the weather, unless there is a state of emergency, in which case, we will reschedule the fair.
WEB Package: consider the “2for1web” package for $1500. Your digital materials, listing, banner, article will be posted on both www.njkidsonline.com and www.njcampfairs.com for the entire year (up until October 2019). This will be the best web package with the most exposure. We will post your open houses, and any new news, and include you in our articles. Expires November 15, 2018.
CAMP GUIDE ad: This digest size guide will be distributed widely before, during and after the fairs. It will be also be in digital flip format and emailed out in the NJ Kids enewsletters throughout the 6 month camp marketing season. The full color, glossy handy digest guide includes back links to your web site. For camp attendees, the price is $750 for a full page, $550 for a half page, $350 for a quarter page. Families who pick this up, keep it or pass it along to their friends. It’s a handy little guide with a lot of camp ideas.
