A summer camp operated by Girl Scouts stands out because activities are girl led. Guided by staff, campers of every age are empowered as they learn and practice creative thinking, leadership and decision-making skills.
At Sacajawea Day Camp in Farmingdale, girls age three through ninth grade and their brothers ages 3-12, have the opportunity to try new and exciting experiences, explore the wonders of nature, enjoy traditional camp activities and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. For many girls, Sacajawea Day Camp is their first experience with archery, climbing wall, zipline, team building and STEM programming. Sacajawea Day Camp also offers equestrian, technology, sports and cooking specialty camps as well as leadership certification programs for girls entering eighth grade and older.
Sacajawea Day Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association, meeting the highest safety, health and quality standards in site management, program delivery, transportation, administration, personnel and health care. All Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore camps follow ACA guidelines and state laws in addition to guidelines provided by Girl Scouts of the USA.
